FAQ'S
We've noticed that many of you ask us a lot of the same questions. So to make things easier for you, we have listed FAQ's and answers below! Hopefully they answer most or all of your questions. If not, please don't hesitate to send an email via the corresponding POC email for your city.
Thank you!
what type of brands do you accept?
Please click here to see the types of brands we accept for our events.
Do you provide tables, chairs, and racks?
We provide chairs for free, but do not provide tables and racks for free. First and foremost, we encourage brands to get away from the use of tables and be as creative and different with their display as possible. But if you need a table, you must supply it yourself or pay an additional $15 to have one provided for you (if we are able to make them available).
are your events free for the public?
Starting in 2022, all of our events will require shoppers to buy tickets. There will be limited free early bird tickets, but once those run out tickets will be between $5-$25, depending on what they come with.
how are you addressing covid-10 safety?
Please see our COVID-19 safety precautions here.
how many brands do you usually have at your popups?
At our lifestyle popups, we aim to have 50-70 different brands across the two days, but sometimes it may be less.
How many people attend your popups?
We get about 200+ Eventbrite registrations on average. Not everyone that comes to the popup registers and we also select venues that have decent to great foot traffic. In 2022, our goal is to have 500+ attendees at the popups and art fairs.
do i have to participate in both days?
You can choose to participate in one or both days. The daily rate is cheaper if you participate in both days.
do you provide scholarships or discounts?
At this time, we do not provide scholarships or discounts. But we are working towards a scholarship program that'll launch late in 2022 or early 2023.
what is the demographic of the shoppers that come to the popups?
Both women and men of all races come out to our popups, but the majority are Black women, closely followed by Black men. They are between the ages 21-50, mostly middle class, and enjoy shopping small.
do i have to be black to participate in an event?
No you don't! Even though our target audience is Black entrepreneurs and creatives, we welcome anyone that wants to participate and be a part of our growing community.
